Which services do you offer?

  • Online therapy

  • Drawing and talking therapy

If you are unsure which service is the best fit, we can discuss this. I work with schools and organisations. I also accept clients through Health Assured.

29/03/24 - I have space for in person and online clients.

How does therapy work?

Sessions are 50 minutes long, weekly, and we will meet at the same time each week. Therapy becomes a part of your weekly routine, a place to share what has been stressful.

What can you help with?

Maybe you can't speak to friends and family about how disconnected you're feeling, or they aren't understanding you. Are you suffering with low self-esteem? Is the idea of socialising making you anxious? Is your teenager’s wellbeing of concern to you? Have recent social situations left you feeling drained?

Perhaps you want to be more open, confident and have a greater sense of purpose. Do you need time for yourself? A space to air confusing or shameful thoughts and experiences that build up over the weeks. Sometimes we need to reflect and vent with a non-judgemental professional in a confidential setting.

By talking things through we can find ways to help you feel more grounded and like yourself again.

In person therapy

I offer both short and long term therapy (short being around 12 sessions and long term anywhere beyond that, as agreed between us) for adults and teenagers (11+). Sessions occur once a week on the same day; there may be flexibility here though and will take place in Surbiton, very close to Surbiton station.

Online therapy

These are conducted via a secure video conferencing software, Google Meet, and in a confidential space. Online therapy is very convenient, it’s ideal if you’re busy, and/or a fan of technology. These sessions can be short term or long term (short being around 12 weeks and long term anywhere beyond that, as agreed between us). Sessions occur once a week on the same day; there can be flexibility here though.

Studies show that online therapy is just as effective as face to face therapy.

Drawing and talking therapy

Sessions occur weekly for at least 12 sessions. These are available in person only. It is ideal if you struggle to connect to your feelings, have difficulty verbalising them, or if you have a creative side. Suitable for adolescents and adults. This is often integrated with talking therapy.

Fees

Each in person session is £60 and each online session is £55. Sessions are 50 minutes long, occurring weekly at the same time.

Fees are to be paid by bank transfer. Sessions need to be paid for at least 24 hours in advance of your allocated slot. I have a 24 hour cancellation policy - if you cancel the session less than 24 hours before your session slot you will need to pay the full fee.

Concessionary rates are sometimes available e.g. for those who have a low income, let me know if this applies to you.

Please feel welcome to email me with any questions.

Location

In person sessions take place in Therapy Spaces. The room can be reached easily from Kingston upon Thames, Norbiton, Berrylands, Esher, Morden, Tolworth, Thames Ditton, Epsom, New Malden, Wimbledon etc.

Therapy Spaces, Surbiton

16 St James’ Rd, Surbiton, KT6 4QH. It is just off Surbiton high street, opposite Surbiton train station. The space is also a 1 minute walk from the bus stops. Parking wise, Waitrose is just around the corner, or there is a close by paid car park (St Philip's Rd car park).

It is wheelchair accessible. I also have experience supporting wheelchair users. There’s a 100mm threshold at the entrance with a slight step (a removable ramp can be arranged) and doorways are all 800mm wide except for the toilet which (regrettably) isn’t wheelchair accessible. There are nearby accessible toilets in Waitrose and McDonalds. Please let me know if you have any questions about this and if you require an accessible room. Therapy Spaces’ has a toilet and it is gender neutral.
